Under a new contract from ESA, I-CONIC will explore the possibilities of using the company’s 3D software in space missions. Examples mentioned by ESA where fast 3D reconstruction potentially could be useful are:
- Terrain modelling of the moon
- Navigation close to comets and asteroids
- Debris removal
- On-orbit servicing
The activity, contracted as an ESA Express Procurement (EXPRO), will be conducted under first half of 2022.
