For the second year in a row, The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, has assigned a team of eight students to a development project for I-CONIC. This year the team will develop adapt, implement and test an I-CONIC software package on a platform intended for processing on-board satellites.

SpaceCloud™, developed by Unibap (Uppsala, Sweden), is a state-of-the-art radiation tolerant payload processing unit for applications in space. I-CONIC’s software package added to SpaceCloud™ will make 3D models in real-time from satellite video.

KTH is one of Europe’s leading technical and engineering universities. It is Sweden’s largest technical institution and home to students, researchers and faculty from around the world dedicated to advancing knowledge.
